Claire and I got up at 4am Perth time. (5.30am Darwin time). We raced to the airport with my brother as he is a cop and can go whatever speed he wants (I know he's a dickhead and I tell him so) in the dark. Got to the airport by 6.30am, checked in, got on the plane and went to the centre of Australia. Yes that's right folks, I have been to Alice Springs for the first time in my life!! I had NO idea the flight was not non-stop until about two days ago, therefore adding about 1.5 hours of flying onto the agenda. We were lucky though, and managed to block a seat for Claire both to and from Darwin. Alice Springs airport was ok, we had a look around, got back on the plane and flew into Perth 3 hours later. Claire travelled quite well, as long as she had something to entertain her, but I am sooooo exhausted now!!

Darwin was great. Beautiful weather, and relaxing. My brother and family are really good, as is my Mum. My bro took me fishing most of Saturday, and we caught heaps of small fish, but only kept about 5. The weather was perfect, about 18-31 each day, so Claire got to wear some nice summer clothes again!

Mike is coming home shortly (which is bloody awesome, so I might go put my head down and wait for him to get here. Claire is fast asleep in bed, as she's completely nackered. I have the next two days off, however Mike is going back to work tomorrow.

Busy morning, dropped Claire at day care, dropped the boys at school, then started doing some washing at Mike's sister's place so that they don't have to worry about it when they get home (school uniforms etc as they have a drier!!) so I've been back and forth from there, as well as the supermarket, and now I have to pop out to buy a new mouse for my laptop as we left the old one in Singapore, and meet up with a sick girl for lunch!

Oh I apparently have a cold now, which is just going to make things so much better. But on the plus side I slept like a log last night, and bubs didn't wake up until 4am. I had 7 hour straight, fed her, and another 2 hours. It was JOY! (Oh and my milk let down once I relaxed of course!)

OK so I LOVE LOVE LOVE my car, and want to take it for a drive. And it appears I may have to because just like my old car, the fuel gauge doesn't work!? What's with that? Stupid fuel gauges. I am so getting it fixed under warranty though!

Sox is scratching at the door to come in, it is cold out there. Poor puss. *goes to let him in*

I'm definitely becoming a posting whore this weekend haha. I'm also nesting, and getting all Christmasy. This is so not like me.

Anyway this is the result of yesterday's efforts - OH CHRISTMAS TREE! It's a brand new one with lots of new decorations. I even went to bunnings and got some brand new awesome bloody expensive lights, and one colour doesn't work! It's going back to bunnings today!!

SmartRider control group invitation

SmartRider is Transperth’s new integrated electronic ticketing system that will replace the current MultiRider ticketing system in April 2006.

A SmartRider control group has been testing the new ticketing system since 16 October 2005. To further test the system, Transperth is seeking an additional 5,000 frequent Transperth users to join the existing control group. The 5,000 users will comprise a mix of 1,500 standard users, 200 seniors, 1,600 students, 1,700 other concession and also users with disabilities.

Applications will be considered on a first-come, first-serve basis. Once the quotas are filled, no more applications will be considered.

In the event that your registration is not accepted, you will be notified immediately and you will not be able to re-register.

Existing control group members do not need to re-register to continue as control group participants.

As a member of the control group you would need to:

Use Transperth services at least three times each week during the trial.

Be able to participate in the control group from approximately 23 January 2006 until 12 February 2006. At this point, control group members will be invited to continue using SmartRider as the system’s first official users.

Be contactable via email.

Purchase your SmartRider card (if you do not already have one) from any Transperth InfoCentre or authorised SmartRider Retail Outlet (locations outlined in the SmartRider information pack). The card purchase fee for SmartRider is $10 for standard users and $5 for concession users. This card purchase fee will be refunded following the conclusion of the trial (approximately late-February).

Add value to your SmartRider card before you can begin using it travel on Transperth. The fare value that you use throughout the trial will be refunded back to your card following the conclusion of the control group trial. The minimum add value amount is $10.

Complete a participant feedback form at the end of the control group trial.
If your application is successful and you are added to the SmartRider control group:

An information kit will be sent to you in the post. This information kit will include a control group ID sticker that you must adhere to your SmartRider card to identify you as a control group participant.

The SmartRider card that you use during the control group can continue to be used following the conclusion of the trial.

Control group participants are requested to report issues encountered when using SmartRider to the Transperth InfoLine on 13 62 13 or via email at enquiries@transperth.wa.gov.au. NOTE: Transperth will not respond individually to feedback but will use this feedback to identify issues so that these can be rectified as soon as possible.

I had a fantastic weekend… and as usual am lacking sleep – TGFC. (Thank God for Coffee!)

Yesterday I ended up visiting Miss Pepsicola down in Mandurah in the afternoon, including a lovely late lunch and a walk/run on the beach with the Kazmeister. I have pics, and may post them if I get around to it one day.

Last night I was “allowed” to watch a couple of episodes of Voyager, mostly because Firefly (not FIREFOX) has been returned to it’s owner, much to a certain someone’s disgust, and because there was frig all on TV. Speaking of Firefox, I actually already had it on my computer unnoticed by me, and we had the amusement of looking through the history it had logged in it thanks to my lovely ex-bf and my ex-friend/house sitter that used it on my computer in the last few months.

Anyway, tonight includes my favourite past time – ironing, followed by a late netball game. And tomorrow I have about 11 or 12 hours of work ahead of me, depending on if they force us to go to one of the mess hall again and drink alcohol again. Bwahaha. I love my second job =)

Info for all current homeowners in Western Australia.

The Stamp Amendment Bill 2005 was introduced and second read yesterday in the Legislative Assembly. The Bill seeks to: allow for an exemption from mortgage duty for mortgage refinancing loans undertaken by owner-occupiers of homes and small business owners.

The mortgage duty exemptions are to commence from 1 January 2006.

So if you are looking at refinancing – you’ll save yourself some money by waiting until next year.

How do I know this? Well it’s my job =)

The first email I got this morning was from one of my workmates – it was photos of the tsunami disaster. The first few were just of the waves coming in themselves (quite amazing photos), then I scrolled down to see people fleeing for their lives, including children – some on their father’s shoulders. I almost cried.

At first I was annoyed that she had sent these photos, but then I thought to myself, this is no worse then what I have seen on the news. And if anything, it re-enforces the magnitude of the disaster. I made my contribution (albeit quite small) to Care Australia yesterday, and I strongly recommend if you have even just a few spare dollars floating around, please do the same. I heard on the news this morning that there are going to be collections at most New Years Eve celebrations tonight, so please please please, just go without one or two drinks, and put in $5. Every cent counts.

Haha kewl Semagic just told me it was Jenn's bday!! HAPPY BDAY JENN HONEY! I hope you have the bestest 21st ever!! I emailed you, and I *would* call you, but apparently I don't have your phone number, anywhere. I have SMSed Kim darling asking her for it, but I have not heard back from her? I guess she's still sleeping?

So anyway, today was ok I guess. I am tired though after a very broken sleep last night, and a long day at work, and a very hard gym session. Why I continually do this to myself I sometimes wonder, but if I get in the army on Saturday (yes THIS Saturday!) I will know all my hard work has paid off. *grin*

What else? Oh yes pyscho bitch otherwise known as "MaRi from Norway" has been attempting to contact me tonight. I ignored the first two private numbers on my mobile and answered the last one, thinking maybe, just maybe, it was Kim. But know all I got was "KRRRRRRISTY!!" She shouted out my name as if it was a call of desperation. My response was "no sorry wrong number" *hang up*. HOW CAN ONE STUPIDFUCKINGDUMBBITCH not get the hint? I haven't talked to her on the phone for at least 1.5 maybe 2 years, I always hang up on her if it happens to be her I talk to, and I never reply to her letters/postcards/SMSes. Thank God she doesn't email me! She'd be in my spam list if she did.

Kim can you do a fly by while you are in Finland, just pop over to Norway, track down the creature otherwise known as Hamburgler and order her to stop harrassing your best friend because she is the biggest pain in the arse in the world, and no one in Australia likes her, or can even tolerate her?

Gee you think this would be the one and only person in the world I loathe wouldn't you? *innocent grin*

For those of you that don't know the history of this dumb purple monster bitch, then please don't bother. She's not worth typing about. In fact I'm tempted to delete what I wrote above because, well, I'm wasting your time as you read about her now. Sorry :)

Hello!! just thought I'd let you know I managed to get a beaut tip in the new That's Life (April 9 but came out today)

It's in the middle of the page under "Beaut Tips", the one about spraying plastic containers before putting in tomato based food.
First time I've ever had something published in a mag, so you could say I'm a little excited.
